Dear Dr. Swagert,

This letter is being written for the support and recognition of the entire staff at the Mountain Park Health Center in Tempe.  I am an Occupational Therapist, and have worked in the healthcare industry for over 17 years.

I recently moved her from New Jersey secondary to an illness in my wife’s family.  I developed a serious infection in both of my hands and did not have health insurance at the time.  I was unable to work and became distraught due to my financial situation.  (I was unemployed for over 3 months).

I was referred to MPHC through a family member.  I was immediately greeted with a smile from Exgar Talamantes, who expeditiously received my information for a financial interview.  He was not only professional, but displayed a warmth I haven’t seen in years.

My financial interview was with Terri Serrano.  She was very sympathetic to my situation and helped me with the appropriate paperwork for discount medical care.  I truly felt like a human being and not a number in a system which can be overwhelming.

My next interaction was with Rachel Lent.  Apart from her duties of taking height, weight, vitals, etc., she clearly displayed a caring for my specific needs.  I felt comfortable within her presence, as she helped reduce my anxiety regarding my situation.

Of special mention is Dr. Connie Tucker.  After several trials of antibiotics and inflammatories, my infection was cured.  She not only greets one with a smile, but adds a hug which is sincere.  I place a great deal of confidence in her medical decisions!  (This comes from a healthcare professional who has seen the best, worst and indifferent physicians in the industry).

You should be proud to have a staff of such individuals who truly work as a team for the benefit of their patients.

Sincerely,

P. Brueninger
